Joe Wayne Padgett, 60, of Brandon, MS, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday July 2nd, 2012 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, MS. The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00am - 11:00am. Rev. Phil Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Joe was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Air Force.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Cleo Smith and 2 brothers, Larry Kent Padgett and Dwain Neville Padgett.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Kay Padgett, Brandon, MS; brother, Billy Ray Padgett (Mondell), Petal, MS; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; 2 step-daughters and 5 step-grandchildren.
