Roland Donnell Kenney, 79, of Laurel, MS, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 Comfort Care Nursing Home in Laurel, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Laurel, MS. Father Mike Thornton will officiate. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery.

Roland served his country during the Korean Conflict era as a member of the United States Navy.

Roland is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Donnell and Lilian Oleta Kenney and by two sisters, Reta Heptinstall and Alta Francis Kenney.

Survivors include his wife, Marie "Bernadette" Laurette Kenney, Laurel, MS; son, Mark Donnell Kenney, Lewiston, MA; daughter, Joyce Francis Kenney, Buckfield, MA; grandchildren: Lisa Kenney, James Kenney, Jennifer Kenney and Dane Kenney; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Gwen and Olivia; brothers, Ralph Kenney, Laurel, MS and Charles Kenney, Laurel, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Laurel. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Laurel, MS is in charge of arrangements. 601-649-3342
