Eric Eugene Yelverton Sr., 56, of Heidelberg, MS, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am, on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at Sky View Methodist Church Cemetery in Sandersville. Rev. Dan Hudson will officiate. Burial will be in Sky View Methodist Church Cemetery.

Eric loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

Eric is preceded in death by his father, John Dewey Yelverton; mother, Maudie D. Yelverton and brothers, David J. Yelverton and John D. Yelverton.

Survivors include his son, Eric Eugene Yelverton Jr. (Krisha), Ellisville , MS; sisters, Margaret S. Ulland (Edwin), Soso, MS and Teresa Knight (Jimmy), Laurel, MS; girlfriend, Lorie Pippen, Heidelberg, MS; grandchildren, Casey Yelverton and Ashley Thomas; great-grandchildren, Jecovah and Anna Thomas; sisters-in-law, Trudy Yelverton, Laurel, MS and Willie Marie Yelverton, Laurel, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
