Virginia Lee Knight Sims
Virginia went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on July 25th, 2012 at the age of 75 years old. Many loved her and all will cherish the time they had with her and the memories that will last with each one for life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Whatley Knight, Ovett; husband, Bonnie Ray "Pete" Sims, Glade; son, Charles Afton Sims, Glade; brothers, John Afton Knight, Billy "W.C." Knight and Clint Knight all of Ovett and a sister, Wanda Gale Knight Creel Lancaster.
She is survived by her daughter, Arillia Diane "Sis" Landrum (Kerry Don), Ovett; son, Bonnie Ray "B.R." Sims (Mary), Ellisville; 8 grandchildren who were always in her heart, Aaron Landrum, Amanda Lott (Mackey) and Charles Landrum (Ayesha) all of Ovett, Steven Ray Sims (Jessica), Panama City, FL, Melissa "Miki" Graham Street (Chad) and David Sims (Jeana) all of Laurel and Chance Sims and Charlie Sims of Ellisville; 13 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Katelyn, and Natalie Landrum, Destinee Harrison, Bryce Finley, Tyler Lott, Samuel Wesson Lott, Faith and Drake Sims, Easton and Henley Street, Charles and Carter Sims; 6 brothers, Albert Knight (Betty), Richard "Yogi" Knight (Donna), James "Hoot" Knight (Annie Rae), Alex Knight (Deb), all of Ovett, and Ellis Knight (Diane) and Mike "Toot" Knight (Judy), of Laurel; 2 sisters, Sarah Knight Ishee (Frankie), Ovett and Betty Jo Knight Grafton (Doug), Sharon; 4 sisters-in-law, Brenda Knight Spicer, Margaret Rogers Sims, Mickey Donald Sims, and Virginia Sims Warren and a special pet that will surely miss her, Blaze, her chihuahua.
Pallbearers will include David Sims, Chance Sims, Charlie Sims, Steve Sims, Bubba Estillette, Michael Sims, Greg Sims and a host of other gentlemen who are honored to walk with her to her final resting place.
Jenny, as most called her, enjoyed being with family, planting and tending her flowers, music, and talking about her Lord Jesus Christ, the wonderful works she had seen Him perform in her life and the comfort and love He gave that sustained her through life.
Visitation will be held at Glade Faithway Baptist Church on Friday, July 27th beginning at 5:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday at Glade Faithway Baptist Church. Her body will be laid to rest at Zion Rest Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Eucutta. Rev. Danny Saul will officiate.
